We’ve worked in some very interesting locations over the years, but this project is certainly up there as one of the most extravagant.
Zurich Finance were treating their employees and other halves to trip to the United States as a reward for a successful year. Part of the trip comprised a celebratory meal held in the middle of the Arizona Desert, and the client wanted a large projection screen on which they could display content throughout the event.
There were plenty of challenges on this job – the venue was over 5,000 miles away, not to mention the lack of water supply in the desert. All of our equipment had to be shipped to the US, so there was a lot of logistical planning to undertake in advance of the event.
On arrival, we had to rely on brand new suppliers who we had not worked with before to supply the supporting truss, power and water.
Thankfully, all the planning paid off and everything came together and a very unique event was successfully delivered by everyone involved.
Pictures were taken of the guests arriving and were later displayed on the screen during the dinner. Later, a video was shown highlighting the destination for the following year’s trip to inspire the employees for the year ahead. Finally, there was a showpiece performance at the end of the night with a band as well as dancers and acrobats. The screen was also used during this performance.
